Saturday the 18th of April 2009 was a very special day for freshwater match anglers, Sarah Thompson of the fabulous Barford commercial fishery saw a dream realised , and a fantastic idea became reality, no doubt you will read about this special event by the professional scribes in time, but here are the results of the match, I would add, Angling Trust gained over 80 new members as a direct result of Sarah's efforts, head of AT Mark Lloyd was there and captured his first ever Carp, so too MP Martin Salter, (he was actually pegged next to me on the Railway lake, of course I beat him ha ha). Sky TV, all of the major angling publications were represented and lots of top anglers supported the event, a big well done to Sarah and her crew, a fantastic effort by anyones standards.
