Why do many anglers wear Camo, then sit in a bivvy for 24 or 48 hours, are they trying to blend into the bivvy background??

I remember those long rod handles!
As a matter of fact, I recently gave away a Les Moncrief beachcaster. I think the handle must have been at least 48 inches from butt to reel seat.
