Dorset Coast

Hello all - can anyone suggest any good marks for a spot of lure fishing for bass around the weymouth - lyme regis coast . We are holidaying in fleet ( above chesil beech ) and i have clearance from the missus to take a spinning rod - where should i head ??

You are not far from some good spots to try . Cross the Bridge as if your going to portland park in the first car park and try for Bass on the opposite side of the fleet to were your camped. In Weymouth harbour at the end of the Marina there is a bridge,stand on the bridge and look down you will see some monster thin lipped mullet they will take a spinner, we used to use devon minnows without the treble use a longshank size 4 and tip with ragworm you should have no problem catching these to 5lb hope this helps.
