There are so many???????/forum/smilies/i_dont_know_smiley.gif

A born again fisherman, back last year after a 25 year break! - My Carp fishing will be (mainly) sub 75m casting, catching fish in the 5lb to 20lb bracket. My current rods - Shimano Hyperloops, are a few years old now, bought second hand and unseen from "that" aution site - and have quite a thick blank, and a very stiff action (by that I mean little rod bend, especially when the fish are under the tip) and have cost me a few fish now.

Money is tight, and for the amount of Carp fishing I do, its difficult to justify the spend, so a £50 to £60 budget is my max. What would you recommend please?

Thanks

I think most of the rods in that category, and price range are probably made from the sameblanks and have different brand names on them.I own two 2.75 rods by different makers and they both cost about£40 each.Ihave had no problems with them andhave landed carp to 20lb.Personally I dont see much point in spending any more.
