There is a stretch on my club water that has become chub alley and I have witnessed a few barbel appearing from upstream . Due to upstream being out of bounds , i was wondering is there a way to bring them down stream or should I wait till they show up and then bait up to hold them in my swim.

Many thanks Speci

Get one of the new Korda dinner bells, they reall worked for me, amazing just 3 small rings and you can see the fish follow the ringing.

You can always try casting discretely upstream and then use a backlead so that it looks like your line is in front of you. <smiley thing>

Thanks guys , the only problem is how far down they travel as there is a weir pool at the top about half a mile away .

try what I do for carp on rivers
cut a leg off of a pair of tights and fill with hemp sweetcorn etc tie string to it and lob it in use a tent peg to hide string under bankside veg
lots of smell without feeding they will be climbing the banks for your bait when you turn up wearing your one legged tights:rolleyes:
