River Tees

hi im new to fishing ( rivers ) and want to know how to get on the stretch of river from the stocton end,i thought it was time to see what all the fuss is about with this river fishing lark? so any info would be welcomed.what set up would be best for the quiver tip ie feeders/ bombs? look forward to hearing what you say.

My did fishes the Tees at Preston Park. It's FREE. He fishes feeder and catches bream. Hardly any flow though due to the barrage.

where abouts do i get on the river at preston park? all i know is how to get to the park and thats it? could you direct me? i will be your best mate if you do? ( ha ha )

It's a while since I was in the park, I only get up there when I visit my folks with the kids, so I can be too accurate with detail.

However, drive into the park main entrance and head for the parking areas - either near the play grounds or the museum. It's quite easy to see when you get there.

As for the river - head down the hill. It's not too far. If you can't see which way because of the brow of the hill then ask someone and I'm sure they'll point you in the right direction.
