Or more specifically - cashew nuts. Sitting here bored on a sat night eating balti flavoured cashew nuts and just wondered if anyone has ever used them as bait?

They are quite soft and crunchy so can’t see a prob with carp digesting them or crunching them.

So any ideas or thoughts?

I`ve often wondered about cashews for carp but I`ve always eaten them first so they dont get near the hook, would be good to see what info everyone has on them too...

With the exception of peanuts Dave, in my case I use 1 or 2 on the hook and place in the desired spot. I do chuck a handful in at the end of a session but for me it's been an instant bait,no prebaiting and no loose feed situation. Moderate baiting of loose samples hasn't improved catches so at a guess I might spend as much as 1p for a days fishing bait.
