i am thinking of changing my barbel fishing from the trent to some other river i have spent some time looking at the warks avon and like the look of the river at barford i know that it is matchfished at the weekend but i fish in the week when this wouldnt affect me has anyone fished this stretch or have information on the barbel in this stretch,not swims or methods more an overview of the barbel in the stretch.

thanks for that stealph viper nice to know the fish are there in numbers in the upper reaches of the river,the fish looked in really good condition, i have applied for membership on the barford stretch and cant wait to give it a go
