My apologies in advance if this has already been covered. (I haven't seen it) :D

Calls for anglers to help!

A major, new research programme on the social and community benefits of angling is underway.

This research aims to collect vital evidence about the influence that angling has on participants, young people and the communities in which angling takes place. The survey, looking to gather information about angling participation, kicked off at the end of June 2009 with a questionnaire survey of anglers in the UK.

The Angling Trust is encouraging all anglers to take part in this survey and they can do this by clicking this link.

By completing the survey anglers will be providing vital information for the research, which will inform both angling organisations and policymakers.

The project, ‘The Social and Community Benefits of Angling’ is funded by the Big Lottery Fund and runs from January 2009 - January 2012.
All information will be anonymised and no individual personal data will be disclosed.

The research is undertaken by Substance, a not-for-profit social research company, and is supported by the Angling Trust, the Environment Agency and a range of other angling organisations in the UK.
