Well done Dave Bassett, catching your first trout on the fly is always a great day in one's angling life.

Now I hope you catch the bug good and proper. In a few months time you will be able to cast a nice 25 yards with no effort. Then you will be tying your own flies.

I remember too clearly the day when I helped Ed catch his first trout at Press Manor.

These are magic days chaps, let's never forget them.

Nice one Dave. I've fished there too and it's a cracking little venue.

Hope your fingers weren't too sore from the Sharkskin line you were using.

Dave, you would have caught loads more if the pair of them had given you a better rod and reel

But be glad you didn't have of MoreSpiders flies though, fish would have run a mile away from them!!!!
