I was reading today about discussions to allow football referees to negotiate their own shirt sponsorship. It got me thinking. Who would you nominate to do a deal, who with, and why?
I'll nominate Graham Marsden to get sponsored by Vodafone. Then every time he pulls his fishing shirt on, it will remind him NOT to take his portable phone fishing with him, but his mobile instead. I did think about him getting sponsored by Orange. Only problem is when he puts his shirt on, he'll head for the fruit bowl, and then wonder what he's doing there.....
