TFG Rod sleeves / quivers

TFG have rod sleeves on their website advertised as either 'carp' or a 'specialist' version.- Does anyone know if there is actually any difference between these, as I've tried asking them and they don't know! I can't find a shop nearby who stocks them either.

I don't know for sure but the carp sleeve possibly has a slightly larger reel-pouch area for big-pit reels?

I dont know about TFG sleeves, but I have just bought a holdal to hold a thirteen foot two piece float rod and a couple of Shimano Specialist rods, and I had a job finding one where the reel pouch lined up with the reel, without the tip of the thirteen foot rod poking out of the top. This was because the reel is usually mounted lower on the handle on non carp rods. I took the rods and reels with me to the tackle shop to try and only found a holdal to accommodate the rods at the third shop I visited. The make of holdal was a Chub, it may be that their sleeves are cut a little more generously than other makes as well.

I looked at the tfg quiver a bit back; weighs a good bit empty! Have you seen the aqua quiver/sleeves? the sleeves don't cover the butt section so fit rods from 11' to 13'. The rod butts fit in the quiver for protection.
