just ordered a diawa proteus 13ft power float rod and a pro logic chair with side tray and rod rest arm....ive looked at a lot of rods and based on what i want it for i think ive made the right choice(trotting for chub and barbel on rivers and waggler fishing for carp on commercials)im expecting it to be lightweight but with enough power to bully carp upto 20lb and barbel upto about 10 so...im just wondering if anyone uses a proteus?... have i made a good choice?
other rods i looked at were:
masterline john wilson project-m carp float-(a review said it couldnt handle double figure fish)
maver abyss 12ft match(thought it could be too light )
middy splash em waggler mi2(not sure about middy making rods...thought they were more of tackle people?)
