Quite amazing. I usually just use a torch and wait for a damp night, then off to the field at the back of the house and pick up enough worms for a couple of sessions. The dog likes the walk too!

I remember a few years back seeing a worm collecting competition on the news, the competitors had equal sections of roped off land and they stomped, hit the ground with tennis racquets etc to get the worms to rise.

I spray the garden and pick them up about 20 mins later.

This could be the A.T.'s chance to increase funds, organise a world champion worm grunting competition , even get it accepted as an olympic event, sell all the worms and Bob's yer flippin uncle.

How about £20 per competitor - or is that too much?
