Richard Clapham Sea trout book

Hello chaps ,just a quickie.basically does any body have any information on the guy he seems to be from Lancashire from the rivers he fishes, and is his book worth owt!!!
It was 1950 when printed it says first edition .

Your a squire and a gentleman Mark,amazing price as well considering it came from a charity shop skip when my mucker was going through bad times. He also found an Emerson lakes guide beutiful book with maps as well both mint condition.Amazing as he owes me a few bob n all ha ha.
Is he a popular authour of other books then ?Some lovely old photos in the book that may be something to do with price?
