ANGLING: Farmoor back in business (From Oxford Mail)

THE suspension of leisure activities at Farmoor after the discovery of more than 10,000 dead fish, mostly perch, at the reservoir’s water intake from the Thames, has now been lifted.

No trout were lost in either reservoir and the incident is still being investigated...........

Dead fish mystery still unsolved

Tests have failed to establish what caused the death of 10,000 fish, mainly perch, in the Thames Farmoor Reservoir intake in Oxfordshire.

The Environment Agency said it was clear the fish did not die from pollution or disease.

Water samples did not find any pollutants.

Tom Sherwood, a fisheries officer with the Environment Agency, said unexplained fish deaths were not unheard of............
