I've only fished it once myself - the list of rules and bans is as long as your arm and they stamp your hand like a kid at a disco to show that you've paid!
Having said that, there are some good fish in there - fishing meat on the waggler towards the bits of dead tree on the first pool as you go through the gate worked for me (legering, surface fishing and most "normal" carp baits are banned!).
