I am glad that the fish were donated to local people. I am not acquainted with this form of angling, other than the endless delights offered by Discovery Shed etc on Virgin BUT..why no catch and release?

Marine biologist son will need peeling off the ceiling when he sees this!

As IGFA members they probably do engage in C&R methods but keep a few fish for the pot. Nothing wrong with that.

Had a go at this sort of fishing in Mexico earlier this year. Only Blue Marlin & Sailfish were C&R - not that we caught any of these. Caught a couple of Barracuda & Dorado though. Took the biggest Dorado to a restaurant/shack on the beach where the boat moored & they cooked it for us for lunch - superb. The crew got the rest of the catch.
