I was looking at the long range forecast for next Tuesday on Metcheck with a view to going on the Wye - unbelievable.

For Hereford between 9 am and 3pm it is zero degs, feels like minus 18

WIND 91 to 93 mph

Think the fishing might be cancelled :p

Scott, the Link doesn't work.

Weather forecasters are predicting a lot colder weather.

Well it is mid December near enough, tis what we should expect :D

Think its time for fan heaters on the bank now, three weeks of rain and now we are going to freeze our doodahs off, who are these people that keep telling me its global warming we should worry about?

Here is the weather forecast for the elderly...
IT'S GOING TO BE A BIT NIPPY... I SAY, A BIT NIPPY, YES. WRAP UP IF YOU'RE GOING OUT. DON'T FORGET YOUR GLOVES, AND DON'T PUT YOUR COAT ON NOW OR YOU WON'T FEEL THE BENEFIT

I'm thinking of taking a patio heater next trip. Yes, I Know they add to global warming, but my way of thinking is when it all warms up a bit, I won't need the patio heater anymore.

I think metcheck were having a laugh, all back to normal now.

I feel like a right muppet, I told my Mum and Dad to sit tight and not go out next week based on their info, with predicted -18degree wind chill and 400mph gusts!!!

I bet the guys at Lloyds had a mini heart-attack!!!

May be a cyber-protesters thing what with Copenhagen and all.

Either way I'm off fishing, I'll strap a couple of 6oz grippas to my ankles and hope things don't go too Wizard of Oz :)

Graham,

No need for a fan heater; I use one of these inside a Korum Stormshield brolly.

eBayISAPI.dll

It is light, catalytic so no naked flame, and lasts a full day on the river bank. I usually pop it on for about 20 minutes at a time but only when it gets really cold.

I look forward to debuting the special "ocean yacht-going type balaclava", the lad got me last Xmas, tomorrow on the Idle.

Always remember the golden rule....seeking a change from a settled weather system...arrange a fish-in! ;)
