well myself and a mate headed down to the river Dane only to find it half frozen over, but we decided to give it a go anyway.
we set up one rod between us so we could have a few gos each and have a chat in the freezing cold , and cold it was with the line freezing in the rings
( brougt a can of de-icer with us)and the the landing net
looked like a tophat with a stick attached, absolutly solid
well we fished small pieces of flake on a float with plenty of line on the bottom to slow everthing down
and low and behold between us we caught 6 grayling all around the 12oz /pound mark.
guess the old saying if you dont get out you dont catch is true
