i remember reading once that you can inject worms with air to make them a popup bait or a floating bait, which are also meant to work well with carp.
does this work, and where can i get one without people thinking that i'm a druggy?

You can buy fairly standard siringes from most of the bigger boots stores. I have used the method on small streams for chub and it worked a treat.

Thomas,be careful not to stick yourself when using one.Nasty infections potentialy.

this may sound a silly question but where exactly should i inject them? and do they stay alive?

Thomas try injecting them in the tail are or the saddle which is the thick bit toward the head end.As Fred says be careful one slip and you could be a gonna.If you get air in your blood stream (embolism) you may well snuff it.

Your local tackle shop may sell them.
Fox do a two syringe system, large bore for oils etc, fine bore for air.
Try at the piking section.
I use this method, can work a treat.
The air in the bloodstream mentioned by David is a big watch though.

Tip from a piker...

... go to your local Community, Alchohol and Drugs clinic. They give out free syringes and dont ask any questions!
