I don't think the close season is ideal on the river and it could be managed better, but I feel happier that the close season stays in its current form rather than abolishing it altogether.
Good that the EA will receive more money in the future, though we wait for the EA statement see if it is sufficient.
The statement skipped over other serious issues e.g. predation which interprets as the cormorant problem. I would like to know what changes will happen on this front.
