I heard on the weekend of the Death of Mark Vials. Although I never met him, people who knew him tell me he was a very likable person indeed as well as an angler of excellent all round ability.

His catches of big grayling from the Dorset Frome have become legendary in recent years.

What sad news. Wasn't he one of the 'real' tenchfishers who pioneered the mass baiting techniques widely used these days ?

Very sad, especially after the recovery he made from serious illness a few years ago.
