Fishing In France

I'm off to the Loire Valley tomorrow and need to quickly know what I need in the way of licences etc. I know its very last minute but I wasn't planning on doing any fishing but I've just discovered that we have a small river at the end of our gite's garden!!! So I'll just be throwing in the telescopic rod and a few bits and having a go.

So if anyone could tell me what I need to fish in France for 2 weeks it'd be appreciated.

I live in the Loire Valley, you can get a 15 day tempory licence from the local Gamm Vert shop, it cost 26 euros (about ?16)

Brilliant - cheers mate. That doesn't seem too bad considering I'm not actually paying naything for the holiday!
