Great pictures from Cakey.

That river didn't exactly look in the best of sorts, did it?

Still, its not all about catching is it, the craic and the social is as important.

Shame I couldn't make it . . . . .

Nice set of pix there, really show what we had to face while also putting across how relaxed and friendly it was.

They were indeed proper perch and no mean feat to winkle one out of the moat let alone two.I take both my hats off to you Steve .

Done by a gnome fishing in a puddle....I'll never live it down:(

really enjoyed the 2 days, day 1 was a bit of a trial, lost all my grippas, but stunning scenery and buzzards kept me content. Missed the curry as my car decided to die at 6:30 saturday night on a mini roundabout in Bradford on Avon. AA asistance and a new battery(£100) got me going again, didn't reach the hotel till 10pm.
The 2nd day was delightful however. A real crabtree stretch of river. I managed to dash the blank with a pristine roach on the stick float, and lost a mystery fish which did me on the far bank snags. Steve reckoned it was a spotty thing ,but I am still convinced it was a big roach,at least 2lb;)
Thanks to all for the 2 days ,I met some new faces, funniest thing is I have known skippy for about 4 years and it was a bit of a surprise for both of us when we met again on saturday morning...
