i would like to buy a all round rod some thing i can use for roach and carp. in the ?100-50 price range.

The latest John Wilson Avon Multi-tipped rod should be fine for this.

You need to be more specific on your needs. You are not going to get one rod that will cope with flicking out a light float for small roach, and also for wacking out a 3oz lead....

i agree with both BN and Ron ( never accuse me of sitting on the fence !!! ) but if you are insistent on an all round rod then follow Rons suggestion . you can pick them up for around ?70:00. me dads got one and is v v impressed with it and the avon tip isn't too heavy for the float work , Paul
