Day Ticket Lakes

Can anyone recomend a day ticket lake in the south of England, west of London. Somewhere I could take my son for a weekend and have a chance of a few carp.

Could you narrow down the area a bit Chris, or at least let us know how far you're prepared to travel.

We live near Bath, and we dont mind travelling, say up to 70 miles. Some one has mentioned Rookley park on the Isle of Wight; any one been there?.We tried to book at Pallington, they have an Army match on, the only weekend we can go.
