Anyone want to start a book on when they're going to invent the first commercial river fishery..?
Someone somewhere will dig a winding waterway with gravel shallows, overhanging trees, deep holes and waving streamer weeds.
Water will be pumped in at the top, filtered and recycled at the other end.
The water will be stocked with chub, barbel, pike, dace, bleak etc.
It will be quite difficult in the summer as the water will be low and there will be a lot of weed growth.
During the colder months, the water will be artificially coloured to resemble a flood and extra water will be pumped in, simulating the illusion of flooding.
To make things even more realistic, there will be none of those platforms or landscaped swims and there will also be several snags, barbed wire fences and a field with a large bull in it.
