my favourite lake is Wynnstay Hall in Ruabon, north Wales. Landscaped by Capability Brown. Contains a few very old mirrors to about 35lb and grass carp to 30lb. (very big fish for this area). Its about 8 acres, fairly long and narrow with a big island in the centre. The margins are wooded and covered in overhanging trees and fallen tree snags. Its pretty shallow, 6ft in deepest spots.Most peaceful and beautiful lake i've ever fished. Off up there now.........
