Exmouth, Devon.

Any kind soul out there have info on beach fishing in Exmouth. I was last there in the 70s and seem to remember a very deep channel that the boats used to enter harbour, very close to the shore. Is this correct, and is it any good for catching at this time of year?

Any reply/help would be appreciated.

I haven't been there for a while, but I fished the channel and had some small bass, both on the bottom and on the float, fishing ragworm.

Probably about 1995.

The channel is very close on the corner and is where most people headed for.

I also remember the tackle shop and being unable to understand how he actually made a living, because the shelves were very bare.

I'd probably take some frozen sandeel to be on the safe side.
