Who has caught the most unusual species of fish in this country?
This is not to get anyone to brag, just to see if there are rarities in our waters. They certainly dont have to be a native species.
The bestIcan do is an albino roach from a little pit when I was a kid.
Would you be inerested in a closed water stocked with unusual species from abroad maybe?

Anyone who was a member of St Helens AA (and some who weren't!) in the 60s and early 70s will almost certainly have caught Tilapia Cichlids from the "hotties" section of the Church Street canal. I don't know how big they grew but I had a few half pounders. Sadly, although they look a game fish, after an initial run they came in like dead bream!! The hotties is no more but there remains a section of slightly warmed water, anyone know if the tropicals are still there?
