I am thinking of....

It won't be long now and I'll have to start thinking what to do when I pack up work for good. One of my great friends told me that I should retire to a Narrow Boat and spend the rest of my life exploring the waterways of England.

I does sound appealing although the boats cost an arm and a leg I believe.

Anyone else spent time on a narrow boat?

Ron, a friend of a friend lives full time on a narrow boat and has done for years. He swears it is brilliant. Should suit you perfectly although you'd need plenty of notice to get to a fish in ! :+)

No need for an alarm clock either - leger weights thudding against the boards works every time! :0)

Sounds Brilliant. Summer months spent chugging around the fens after the bream and tench with a stack of groundbait, then down the Trent after barbel in autumn, back to the fens again for winter and the predators.

I could manage that.

They tell be a narrow boat costs ?1000.00 a foot by the way.
