colouring boilies

whats the best thing to colour boilies,powder/liquid from nash etc or can normal food colouring be used.New to diy boilies so need a little help lads please

Andrew, I would definitely colour my home-mades with shop bought cake colouring. Far Cheaper and with liquid form, far more effective. You'll find colourings in the main do not carry any flavouring and you can bet that brands such as nash etc do exactly the same but charge you for the label.

cheers stuart,thought it would be fine but better to be safe than sorry lol.dont do great agreat amount of carping most of my fishing is taken up with pikeing,with carp/tench/bream in between

remember that a lot of the time the colour would have washed out of the bait after a couple of hours. especially birdfoods. Colours to catch fisherman? Mind you, green baits over weed/black over silt do confuse the birdlife
