I am just about to start using braided line (for lure fishing). I am aware that the carp men use braid a lot so wonder if you could answer, what are the best knots to use for:

1. Joining mono backing on spool to braided mainline.
2. Tying braid to swivels etc.

Thanks for any help received.

Braid to mono I use double grinners.
Braid to swivel is either grinner or palomar.

me does not know what to dooo.
I have got 4xlc's as you know and after loading one up with the braid you got me and liking it very much ,do I do the lot or just one more,what do you think ?

Just leave the one you've already done and see if you get on with it.
Personally, I've got spools loaded with braid as well as mono.
If you haven't got spare spools then err on the side of caution.

I was going to get a couple of spare spools but they are ?50 each plus p and p

I tend to use a Palomar for all my knots with braid but the best way is to have a play yourself Eddie and see what'sa best for you.

Gissa bell as we muist be due another Ouse trip soon; hold on wait for a while the weathers too good at the moment !
