With fishing season just around the corner (we hope), heres you chance to get some good binoculars cheap.

With free p&p it can't be bad.

Click on a pair you like the look of then click view reviews (if there's any)

If you value your eyes, I wouldn't recommend you buy cheap binoculars. An optician told me that

Yet you don't have to be like The Monk and buy a pair of Jarowskis or Leicas.

I have a pair of Nikon Monarch 8 x 42 roof prisms which I got second hand and they are truly magnificent. Most cannot tell the difference between these and a pair of Leicas.

I have a good pair I was bought as a birthday present a few years ago.
I thought those 10x42 waterproof ones for £20 were good on the link.

I have the Opticron 10x42 which I have been very fortunate to test against Sworoski 10x42 at about 5 time the price of the Opticrons. Quite frankly, I couldn't discern any substantial difference in them. I have no doubt that there is, but I couldn't tell.

The law of diminishing returns really affects binoculars.

When I was in Tasmania, I met a man sporting a pair of Jarowskis he paid A$3,000.00 for. I let him have a look through my Nikons whilst I looked through the Jarowskis. I couldn't tell much difference at all, except under a certain light condition the Jarowskis did not exhibit fringing, but this was so difficut to see.

I was a bit reluctant to tell him how much I payed for my binoculars.
