Spinning Reels

Can anyone enlighten me as to the differences between a reel suitable for feeder fishing and one suitable for spinning. I have a Mitchell Copper 4000 for feeder fishing. Will this be suitable for some light spinning (5-24gm lures) or would I be better served by buying a different reel.

I don't know the reel but without being too fussy, if it will hold 100 metres of 10lb mono or preferably 20lb braid then it will probably do nicely. However a 24 gram lure could be quite big and you were specific about 'light'. Therefore you might want to scale down your lures or scale up your tackle in case there are big pike around
