Ransome Road is the name of the lake.

Hey Stewart - I know the gravel pits at the end of Ransome Road, Northampton. I used to fish there as a kid, if I remember correctly. Down Far Cotton way off the London Road. Just thinking about it really takes me back! Makes me feel old too!

Malcolm, it would have made you cold too on that day...it was freezing...and we stayed overnight as well...still, it made a nice photograph for Pilgrim's Progress...

I should have said, I too enjoyed the pilgrims progress report - very interesting, keep up the good work! If I had know you were going to be fishing (blanking LOL) in my neck of the woods, I would have made to effort to be there and say hello!

Malcolm, thanks for the kind comments, very much appreciated...if you fancy a blank, fish with me...I bought the curse of Sedge on 9 others recently when we fished the lower Severn together...

Thought so, know it fairly well... Used to fish there B4 moving to derby.... No Water Skiers at this time of the year I assume...
