canal fishing in winter

ive been float fishing the grand union in greenford for most of the winter but ive not got any bites im using mixed maggots,lunchonmeat,hemp and sweetcorn but still nothing.any help would great.

Try using small baits such as pinkies, squatts and fine groundbait. Feed them little and often. Also not sure what tackle you are using but use small hooks like a size 22 coupled with 1-1.5lb line. Hoepfully that will bring you a few bites.

liquidised bread and bread punch, especially if the waters clear. It's covered in more detail in the threads somewhere.
