Fishing near Philadelphia

I have to make a trip out to Philadelphia within the next month. Anyone got any tips/advise/venue info about fishing out there ? Is it worth me packing a rod or two ?

I would have to stay pretty local as its a work trip.

You've got the Delaware river running thru Philly.
It's tidal down there, but above Trenton is better and easier fishing.
Loads of big carp, but might be a bit cold this time of year for them to come within casting range.
Maize, canned corn etc etc

Rik thanks, the time of year was one of my concerens as well, I think I could be up agaisnt it but I may well pack a rod and see what's what when I get there.

Have you ever fished it yourself ?

No, but I've had a good look.
I haven't carp fished much over there, but like anywhere, I always have a good look.
I shouldn't be that much different than the Seine, it's just a bit bigger.
You know the score, weirs, dams, snags etc etc they all hold the carp.
