Nash Outlaw any good?

I'm looking for a rod and freespool reel for my dear pater's birthday. Ideally I want a 2.25 - 2.5lb TC slowish taper rod and something along the lines of my trusty cheapo Daiwa Regal Z's. I have been looking through the magazines and I have found some deals on Nash Outlaw rods and reels that are very tempting price-wise, I just need to know if they are any good.

The kit looks lovely in the photos but has anyone seen them in the flesh who can give me a comment on them.

(I realise this isn't strictly a beginners topic but as it is entry-level carping kit I thought it might be useful to other beginners)

I agree completely with Michael, I've had two for over 12 months.
