BBC News - Oil spill reaches Italy's River Po after 'sabotage'

I don´t know if anyone has heard this yet, this is why i wanted to share the bad news here.

I wanted to visit the Po one day for its carp fishing, but i think this must wait for about 30 years. And because this river is usually used for watering the fields i guess that Italian veggies are off the menu ...

The Italian government was even so bold to say that the tap water may smell a bit of gasoline but is no health thread and still drinkable ...

The disaster happened a week ago and the italian media are not even making it public.

The "attempts" of removing the oil were laughably inadequate, only that this is not a laughing matter.

Birds can fly to escape ... Fishes rarely can ...

All we can do is hope, but i am not very hopeful that the underwater fauna will have a realistic chance to survive.

Seemingly the BBC estimate was as inadequate as the emergency actions.

Both the Times and Guardian Online are reporting 2.5 million litres of oil as having been released by the sabateurs!

The oil was heating oil that had been stored in a disused refinery close to Milan.

for the first time yesterday which was a surprise considering when it happened!.Let's hope brainless acts like that are not copied!!!!!.
What kind of Idiots would want to do that kind of thing and why?!!!.
And birds are important, obviously fish aren't.
