Hi I`ve only just recently started fly fishing and i am wondering wether anyone here knows whether or not the river tees is classified as a chalkstream?
sorry to tell you but i dont think the the river tees is a chalk stream as it doesn`t flow through limestone/chalk.
Try broken scar & up river you should find good fishing.
cheers shall give it a go! i have read that a bright yellow dry fly or a pheasant tail and a weighted hairs ear does well on there is this true or do you know of any other fly patterns which work well along that stretch.
