Reel seat????

I have a pair of rods with reel seats stamped 'Gold Crest' on them.

Has anyone heard of this make, and/or know whether they're good quality, i.e. fuji etc?

Sorry david, never heard of those reel seats. In all probability, they're a fuji copy.
Hey, if they're doing what they're supposed to though, why bother about it?

I know what you mean Richard, it's no big deal, along as they do the job they were designed for.

A real seats a reel seat! :eek:)

The reason I'm curious is that I've purchased some 2nd hand rods which I'm told are Harrison Ballistas. On a quality blank like that I'd expect quality fittings (fuji etc.).

The rings are apparently zirconium (not sure if that's correct spelling) but I can't see fuji or any other name on them.

I'm pretty sure it is a harrison blank, just hope I haven't been done!!!! :O(

It would depend on who made the rod David. Without going and looking I think fuji stamp the frames of their rings don't they? You could always give Harrison's a call, they might be able to help identify the rod for you.
