Anyone remember Bill Keal?

I was looking through my old Anglers Mail annuals the other day, and came across articles by Bill Keal, who sadly died in a road accident in 1972.
The articles were very good, very down to earth, and very relevant to todays fishing.

I wondered if anyone knew if he ever wrote books as I'd like to read more.

PS there's a picture of a very dark haired Graham Marsden with a 6lb bream on the 1980 annual.

Just for Men was available back in the early eighties!

We all knew Bill Keal back in the 60s. He was a good all-round big fish hunter who wrote very well.

He features in Frank Guttfield's great little book, "In search of Big Fish".

Thanks Ron, I had a feeling you might know.

Warren, Just For Men sounds like something off the top shelf, or have I just got a dirty mind.

Bill Keal was for many years one of the main committee members of the Red Spinners, and a very energetic one at that!
If you really want to trace his books, then I can give you one title anyway. It is "Bill Keal's Book of Fishing" from Clipper Press in 1972, with various contributors such as Fred J Taylor, Fred Wagstaff, Bob Reynolds and many others. I picked it up from a book stall at one of the angling conferences, but no doubt you'd get a full choice by approaching a specialist book shop.
