Brenig and Dearnford are good waters, in fact I was on Dearnford at the weekend, but for a first trip I'd suggest a small water such as Pen-y-Frith

How easy is penyfrith because ive found a welsh fishery website and the only info is the price and what is stocked.

Darren It's no easier or harder than most small fisheries. I suggested it as it's in your area. Also as you say it is your first flyfishing trip it may be suitable as it is a series of smallish pools where long casting shouldn't be necessary.
