Hair rig line?

I would like to know what kind of line is needed for the hair rig/hook length. Please bare in mind that I live in canada and they don't sell the English lines here.I just need to know whether I should use braid or mono and if braid then should it be stiff coated or limp non coated.What test strength should it be?

either and all! realistally, the way people use the hair these days is more of a way to mount baits without obscuring the hook, rather than a confidence rig thing.

If your stuck for rig materials out there Rik then use the knottless knot with your mono but whip on a piece of cotton for your hair. That way you have a natuaral presentation with the benefits of your mainline. If not, then pay for the post and packaging and buy some snakebite over the net.

Rick,
you can always use unwaxed dental floss
as well for the hair, if you can get your hands on it.
