Hello to all at Fishingmagic. Does anyone have any experience of carp fishing around the Derby/Ilkeston area, especially Mapperley Reservoir in Shipley Park. I know that this pond once produced a record many years ago but how does it fish now?. I haven't been fishing for umpteen years but as soon as the F&M crisis is over I would like to get back into it again. Mapperley is my favourite spot from years back but I only used to fish for silvers and pike in those days. Any help would be much appreciated.

there is a lot of carp in there. and mannor floods ilkeston hold good carp to

Heh-heh!

I gave up carp fishing in late 2001 and have been pretty much dry-fly only for the last five years!

Oh well, thanks for the thought...
