hi lads

i have just sold my old rods and am thinking of getting a set of esp terry hearn rods. the 2lb 9oz ones. does anybody use them and know if they am any good?

hello john,the rods are the dogs swingers,fully tested by the man himself.

can pva bags be cast out very far???
what are they like to play fish on?

I've got a set of the 3 1/4 tc the dogs nuts if you are going to do a lot of pva bag fishing these might be the ones. I've used the 2 9oz lovely allround rod a bit soft for blasting pva bags but small bags no problem. With the arrival of esp new rods you should be able to get a good deal check out the mags.

I've 3 of each test curve and they are indeed spot on. They are an anglers rod for people who like to see their rods bend. I would agree though the 2lb 9's are a bit soft for whacking out bags. If you are intending to do alot of bag work, particularly on a bigger water I'd advise the 3 lb 4's. Don't be put off by the extra length, because these rods bend nicely with fish on the extra length won't be an issue as long as you use a 6' net pole.
