hello all.....i used a centre pin for the very first time today at my local boating lake(the reel was a 1950`s
bakerlite model)although i made some mistakes with loading the line (it seemed to sit loosely on the drum)and
casting i managed to land a 1.5lb crucian as my very first pin fish...i cant wait to get on the bank and give it another go!!!also i cant wait to use my brand new leeds pin when the river season starts.......i`m truely converted!!!

Rather than seeming old fashioned, you will find a centre pin reel of great value for many styles of fishing, especially trotting on a river.

They are lovely for playing big fish. You don't have to pump or make allowances for inertia on a slipping clutch. Not only that a good one will last you the rest of your life.
