I had my last session of the river season yesterday, chasing grayling with float rod and pin. Had a nice easy 1/2 day landing about a dozen from as many swims with 3 fish hitting the 1lb 8oz mark

What are you going after?

I shall spend saturday trying for a big chub from the Colne. Best this season is 5lb 10 but I know there are some bigger than that lurking.
Sunday I have a match bream bashing at Farlows lake.
Fancy having mothers day on the last day, lots of poor blokes will have to grin and bear it. You would think the government would change the date on this most important day.

Off to the Severn tomorrrow. Hoping to get one last Barbel but, realistically looking at chub. Will prob. try Cheese paste or similar, I've had some good Barbel on this so it should be good for both species.

Couple of hours tomorrow afternoon and a few hours Sunday morning roving with a feeder on the Cuckmere - Then Sunday afternoon in the doghouse! (and probably miss the rugby and the grand prix - all worth it for the last weekend)

I am thinking about nabbing a couple of hours on The Don, Sunday *

A nice grayling or chub is my goal.

* The wife does not know this at the moment, so shhhh!

I've got the responsibility for trying to get messrs Marsden, Bibby, Connor, Jacobs, Whatmore and Hewitt (Richard) a few fish somewhere on the Stour today. The frosts have gone and the river is in fair trim but whether the fish will oblige remains to be seen. Tomorrow I'll have a couple of hours somewhere but that'll depend on today's result.

I must get out on the river at least once more...I thought I was going to be happy with a 5:12 chub.
I can't let my last fish of the season be a 7:13 b**m!

the colne threw up an 11 barbel( to a FM member )and a 14 to another angler.

Fished the Severn on Sat with Speci. Both blanked in style!! Fished the Cherwell today for about 2 hours and had a nice chub about 4lb. That'll do for me.

Nigel, was that message for me? if so what's on at Clattercote?
There seem to be several Marks on FM (common as muck)
